Off topic: Cranberryesque Recommends: "Modern Burdens" - Tracy Bonham

Okay guys, off topic; For fan's of 90's female rock music, which I'm sure there are more than a few reading this blog. Here's something that can hold you over while we wait for new Cranberries material.

Another one of my favorite artists is the amazing Tracy Bonham. Many in the US may remember her massive, Grammy nominated hit, Mother Mother, the song that replaced Salvation as #1 on the Modern Rock charts in 1996. It was also the last song by a female solo artist to hit #1 on that chart until Lorde's Royals just a few years ago... seventeen years later.

Well, Tracy is releasing a new album, re-recording and re-imagining her debut album, "The Burdens of Being Upright". She is working with some amazing 90's and recent indie female vocalists such as Angie Hart (from Frente, who many super Cranberries fans remember provided vocals for the haunting Mono Band song "Coyotes & Helicopters"!!), Kay Hanley (Letter's Cleo), and Tanya Donelly (Belly) to name a few.

Tracy has set up a Pledge Music page to fund this project that looks to be amazing. I highly recommend this to all Cranberries fans. And if you haven't heard the original album or any of Tracy's albums, I highly recommend them as well! See link:  Modern Burdens - Pledge Music

PS: While I originally brought "The Burdens of Being Upright" for Mother Mother and The One, this is the song that officially made me a fan:
