The Cranberries to release new album in 2016!! To play Switzerland music festival in June, more summer dates coming

Noel officially announced via twitter that the band will be playing the Festi'neuch in Switzterland, saying that this is the first announced of a few summer dates.

Although not officially announced, the Swiss festival's website mentions a new album in 2016!

They return to the limelight with a new album planned for this year and this can only surprise on the upside!

Official news coming next Monday

The wait will soon be over, according to Noel on Twitter:

Noel Hogan ‏@hogannoel3 Cranberries news coming next Monday. #thecranberries

Not sure if by, "next" he means the next Monday(2/8), or the next Monday (2/15)after this upcoming one. Crossing my fingers for the latter.

Back to form - Major news coming soon!

Okay, I've allowed this blog to go un-updated for way too long. I'm back, hopefully for good.

Much has happened in the 2 years since I've updated this blog. As many fans are aware, the band members have lots of projects in the works. But I think we are all the most excited about the recent update on the band's website stating "New coming soon...."

My two main theories are:

1. The obvious, new album/new tour. Last year, Dolores and Noel publicly reunited for the first time since the (still unexplained) legal proceedings between them for an episode of The Bachelorette. It seems these two have buried the hatchet, and it wouldn't surprise me if they have been sending each other music like they did leading up to the recording of Roses.

2. Last year Noel tweeted a series of photos of his personal collection of Cranberries demos and rare recordings. It's possible they are going to release a set of remastered rare tracks.

I would love for both of these things to happen, but I'm leaning towards #1.

Cranberries - Coming Soon
